The Spanish Department is the first of its kind among cyber universities in Korea. As such, we aim to provide innovative and efficient training for students who hope to communicate with the 500 million people from 21 Spanish-speaking countries around the world. We are fostering global professionals equipped with practical skill sets by focusing on real-world usage, including fundamental language abilities, interpretation and translation.

About

The Spanish Department’s teaching staff is comprised of esteemed Korean and foreign professors who use diverse educational content to efficiently match the level of classes to their students. We are fostering global experts with a widespread understanding of the Spanish and Latin American regions, including their cultures, economies and societies. Through our FLEX certificate and DELE Certificado programs, students have the chance to earn official certification that is respected throughout the international society. And by participating in interpretation and translation classes, students emerge as professionals, able to demonstrate their skills in Spain and Latin America at any time.


Certification & Exams
CUFS TESOL Certificate
  • CUFS Spanish Translation Certification.
  • Able to take the exam for DELE (Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera) Certificado.
  • Able to take the exam for FLEX Certification.
  • Able to take the exam for Spanish tour guide interpretation certification.

Future Careers
Entrance into Spanish Graduate Schools
  • Study abroad at universities in Spain or Latin America, long-term study, entrance into graduate schools, graduate schools of education, regional graduate schools or graduate schools of interpretation and translation.
Employment
  • Employment in Korean and Central and South American corporations that require Spanish-speaking employees, teaching Korean in Spanish-speaking countries after double majoring or minoring in Korean and receiving a level 2 or 3 Korean language teaching certificate.
Freelance Work
  • Working as a freelance Spanish interpreter and translator.
